The way in which we watch our favorite movies, shows and sports is evolving
Video technology innovations such as Smart TVs, Roku, and Apple TV have made it so you can stream live TV and video on demand content. Streaming is now the most dominant Internet application and has clearly become the preferred method.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the average cord-cutter saves $104/month. Today, 64% of U.S. broadband households subscribe to either Netflix ($10/mo.), Amazon ($8.25/mo.), or Hulu Video Streaming ($8.00/mo.) services which, with a combined cost of $26.25, give you far more content for far less money than cable TV.
Cutting-the-cord is no longer a trend. The proof? More than 760,000 cable and satellite subscribers cut the cord in the 1st quarter (Jan-Mar) of 2017 alone. In the 2nd quarter (Apr-Jun) an additional 976,000 subscribers cut the cord.
